Recap[]

This section needs more writing to complete the 8th episode.

Daphne discovers a collection of pictures and files on Bay in Regina's guitar case and angrily confronts her. Regina is shocked that Daphne found out and confesses that she knows that they were switched at birth. She hired private investigators to find Bay. Daphne doesn't get much information out of Regina before they are interrupted by Kathryn.

Daphne does not know what to do with the information she just learned and she just wants to get away. She decides to cut school and get drunk with Wilke (who although suspended was getting schoolbooks out his locker). They start hooking up then Wilke brings up the switch again that Daphne had momentarily forgotten about. Wilke's car is taken away because of an unpaid parking ticket so Daphne calls Emmett for a ride home.

Bay goes to see Emmett and asks why he kissed her; she launches into a rant, wondering if it meant anything to him, or if he's just using her to get to Daphne, and ends by telling him she's annoyed. He asks her if she's finished; when she says that she is, he kisses her again. Later, they're in the park together making out, and Bay asks Emmett if he ever speaks with his voice. He says he doesn't need to, and she reminds him that she's still leaning to sign and asks if there's any way her could speak to her, at least while she's still learning. Emmett is clearly uncomfortable with the conversation, so Bay asks him if they could go back to kissing, because they're really good at that.

Bay gets mad when he sees that Emmett's room is filled with photos of Daphne, but Emmett assures her that he and Daphne are just friends. Bay seems skeptical, but is willing to let it go until later when Emmett's phone keeps vibrating because Daphne is calling asking for a ride. She reminds him to bring his camera to take more pictures for his "Daphne shrine" before running out of the room.

Regina thinks about getting rid of her guitar case but changes her mind. During the deposition, Kathryn and John are blind-sided when they find out that Regina's known about the switch for twelve years. Bay's family, except for Toby, confront Regina about how she knows. She says that Angelo has always suspected Regina of having an affair because of how Daphne looks. When she got sick and lost her hearing, he secretly took a paternity test and found out Daphne was indeed not his child. Bay, thinking that Regina didn't want her turned to Emmett for support. But, when trying to explain the situation, he couldn't understand her due to the fact that she was talking fast, Bay tries to break up with Emmett. But, just as she's about to leave, Emmett pulls Bay back to him and comforts her as she sobs. With no one but Toby willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, Regina drives off to stay a couple days at Melody's place.
