Meanwhile, Kathryn meets with a potential book publisher, who tells her the book will only work if she gets Regina on board to co-write it. At the game, Regina’s new boyfriend Patrick surprises Regina by showing up. When Simone fouls Daphne in the last minute of the game, Daphne scores the winning shot, and Carlton wins.

Bay finds herself in another difficult situation when Melody asks her to testify against Emmett’s dad so that she can gain full custody. The situation escalates when Bay and Toby discover that Cameron’s new girlfriend is a pot dealer. After talking with Bay, Cameron decides that Emmett is better off with Melody. But when Emmett learns of Bay's involvement in the situation, he is livid, and they fight.

Still fuming, Emmett bumps into a lonely Simone in the hallway of their hotel, and they end up spending a passionate night together.
