Teo is a new student in a pilot program for hearing kids at Carlton School for the Deaf. On his first day he was completely lost and came up to Emmett to ask for directions, so Emmett provided the directions in ASL. Teo still didn't understand, so Daphne gave him directions orally, at which point he mistook her for also being in the hearing program, but she explained that she was an oral deaf person and walked him to the office.
